As a Quantity Surveyor you will be required to work on 2 large scale data centre new build projects, These projects will be based in Dublin and Denmark respectively. The work will primarily concern the new build steel packages on the projects so prior experience working with primary steelwork contractors is a major benefit. Your primary duties and associated skills should will include: * Cost control, planning, forecasting and estimation* Valuations * Measurement and cost analysis* Coordinate all variation orders and keep accurate status register * Project progress reporting* Writing reports and preparing documents (plans, contracts, budgets etc.)* Preparing project control analyses, spread sheets and graphics* Preparing claims* Coordinating timely arrival of parts, equipment, construction materials, and installation with field personnel and vendors* Performing standard estimating tasks such as performing quantity take-offs, creating material price lists, and researching labour, material and equipment costs for these take-offsSkillsThe quantity surveyor is an integral part of the construction team and to be successful in the role, a broad range of key skills are required, including:* Strong communication and negotiation skills* Team worker with good interpersonal skills* Organised and methodological with a keen eye for detail* IT skills e.g. proficient with Microsoft software* Maths skills / numerically minded* Budget and financial management* Ability to remain calm under pressure* Industry knowledge and understanding
